UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits offers a variety of group term life insurance products, including:

  • Basic Life: Available in flat amounts, multiples of salary or by job classification
  • Supplemental Life: Enables employees to buy more life insurance than the Basic amount provided by the employer
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D): Covers loss of life or injuries sustained in an accident (subject to limitations)
  • Dependent Life: Covers family members

Life Insurance Value-Added Services

Our life insurance products include features such as accelerated benefit, waiver of premium, AD&D seat belt benefit and life conversion.  In addition, the following value-added services are embedded in our life insurance plans, at no additional cost to the employer:

  • Beneficiary Services:  Provides beneficiaries with grief/loss consultation and financial/legal assistance by phone
  • Travel Assistance Services: Assists domestic and foreign travelers with emergency travel needs
  • Will/Trust Preparation: Access to online, self-service will preparation tools and information
